Our simple goal at French Franks is to bring you the freshest and tastiest food and drink in Newport.
We buy the best ingredients that we can, using local suppliers & produce where possible, and including the weekly farmers market here in the square.
Every day we bake breads, cakes and pātisserie, make fresh soups, salads and fresh fillings and dressings. Quality ingredients simply and freshly prepared, this is our point of difference when creating our fresh fast food.
We are passionate about great coffee and use pure Arabica beans from Italian artisan roasting house Danesi, expertly prepared by our barristas. We also exclusively distribute Danesi coffee and can provide training and support to other businesses who appreciate great coffee as much as we do.
We deliver platters and light bites to offices or events from the cāfé. Occasions our outside catering business specialises in authentic outdoor cooking adding theatre and atmosphere to private and corporate parties and events.
French Franks is owned by Mark and Jenny Horton. It is a landmark local business situated in the atmospheric St Thomas Square beside Newport Minster Church. Our historic building was once part of the Newport corn exchange and said to be the only building whose occupants were untouched by the great plague. We share it with our resident ghost and get on well most of the time!
